helen markham was a problematic witness for the warren commission , along with howard brennan , mrs bledsoe , marina oswald , charles given to name 5 . junior warren commission counsel realized that some of these witnesses were very problematic and ultimately unreliable , and did not think they should be used . in marina oswalds case she had lied repeatedly and blatantly to every government agency she spoke to , yet the senior members on the commission still went and took her testimony knowing about her lies . WHY ? because the lies incriminated oswald who was now dead and couldnt argue .
